We recently decided to take advantage of the real estate market in Arizona and went house hunting. We found a website entitled 'Canadians in Arizona' and the realtor on the site is Brian Petersheim. Our initial meeting was by phone when we discussed our expectations and the type of house we were looking for.
When we arrived, we didn't really know the Phoenix area so we asked Brian to take us to view houses in several surrounding cities - which he did without complaint - and did we view houses! The first day we visited 31 houses - yes 31 houses in one day! We knew exactly what we wanted and flew through the listings. While we were all very tired after that first LONG day Brian met us the next day to look at 21 more houses! Yes, 21 more houses - now that's a dedicated realtor!
We are Canadians, living in Edmonton Alberta, and I am a realtor here in Edmonton. You know what they say about doctors being the worst patients - I wonder what Brian would have to say about a realtor as a client (lol).
All joking aside we were very happy with the work Brian put in to finding the house we eventually bought. I have already sent his name out to all the realtors in my office and to my mortgage broker so they can refer any clients they may have who may be looking to buy property in the Phoenix area. Brian is very competent and knowledgeable with the entire Phoenix area and anyone using his services will be a very satisfied customer!
Thanks again for all the hard work Brian - we'll see you this winter!
If you are considering moving to Maricopa, then I strongly suggest you look up Brian. We are from Idaho and planned a trip there in April to look at Short Sales and Foreclosures. Brian was prepared, he showed us homes in the price range we suggested, knew exactly where the houses were and didn't have to fumble with a GPS to find the correct address. All along he was asking us questions about what we wanted. I would say after 12 to 15 homes HE suggested that he knew of a new home under construction that he thought would make us happy. And boy was he right. My wife fell in love with the home immediately, and it more than met my expectations.
Now I would suggest that if you find that perfect home and are ready to make an offer--let Brian negotiate for you. He got the builder to not only give us a great price, but he got them to pay our closing costs, threw in a refrigerator, washer and dryer and the window coverings. Brian truly does represent the buyer. He has even sent us pictures by email to keep us posted on the construction progress. We close in July and couldn't be happier. Thanks Brian !!!!!
"In the fall of 2008 my wife and I began our search for a home in the Phoenix area. We’ve always dreamed of being able to escape our Canadian winters, and with the “opportunities” created by the unfortunate state of the Arizona housing market, we felt the time was right."
"We found Brian’s website and immediately felt comfortable after our first conversation. His knowledge of Maricopa and the east valley is really second to none. Buying a home over the Internet isn’t for the faint of heart, but Brian went out of his way to accommodate our constant requests for pictures and feedback on properties that were of interest. When we found what we were looking for, he skillfully guided us through the process of making an offer and closing on the property. His advice saved us thousands of dollars."
"But that wasn’t the end of his involvement. Time and space prevented us from being there until about a month after we took possession. In that month he literally”baby-sat” the house for us! He even took the time to deal with a weed problem in the front yard! If you're looking for a buyer’s agent who is customer oriented, highly experienced, and is willing to go the extra mile for his clients, I highly recommend Brian Petersheim – Mr Maricopa!"
"As a first time homebuyer and at a time when looking for a house was the last thing I wanted to do, Brian made the search and process, simple and painless. As of December of 2006 I had been looking for a home in the Phoenix area for over two years. In that time frame I looked at many houses, both new and lived in, all over the Valley. During my search I spoke with many new home, sales representatives and found my experiences to be less than pleasing and frustrating. Before I met Brian I did not have a realtor so I was at the mercy of the relentless sales personnel as I walked in to sales offices to inquire about prices and to look at model homes. It seemed to me as though the sales reps did not understand the that I had a price limit for a home not the “limit” plus every upgrade available making the home in some cases well out of my affordable range."
"I met Brian by chance through a coworker of mine . When he learned that I was looking for a house he asked me a few basic questions about home pricing and preferences to begin the search with. Within 24 hours of meeting Brian he had found a newly built home in the price range that I was looking for and with the features and upgrades that I wanted already included in the price. As a new homebuyer the experience was a little nerve racking, however Brian walked me through every step, from signing the first paper to closing, and ensured that any questions that I had were answered to my satisfaction."
"Brian not only helped me to buy my first home but accompanied me in my first walk through, he delivered my earnest money to the sales office to help me out because I had prior engagements, he met me at the closing office to provide any support needed and to answer questions, and he referred me to a high quality landscaping company that completed the back yard of my new home in a timely and professional manner.
"I am currently living in my new home, thanks to Brian, and I love it."
"Being a first time home buyer, single with no help, I needed someone to make buying a home as simple as possible. Brian was very patient, answered my many questions, and gathered information for me that would be pertinent in buying a home. He did a fantastic job on negotiating closing terms, price, and got me the price I wanted in the area I wanted. I am now in a home that most people dream of. My experience with Brian was as positive as it can get with purchasing a home."
"I called Brian at about 11AM, I heard through a friend that he specializes in finding great deals in Maricopa.. He asked me about 15 minutes worth of questions, found out my needs, then told me he would get back to me within 3 hours. He called me before 2:00 and told me that he had found my house. It was a larger 1 story home $10,000 under the limit that I had given him, with granite, tile, and most importantly a 3 car garage. The home was also 200sqft larger than we were looking for! It had just fallen through escrow the day before, and it was twice the home that we have seen for the price in the area. He knew exactly where to look, and we are very grateful. He knew the area as we drove to the house. When we arrived there, we knew that it was the home for us. Brian even negotiated the builder help us with closing costs."
"Brian was there during all the paperwork, inspections, walkthroughs and closing. I would not hesitate to work with Brian again. In the past the realtors that we have used were much less professional, and we felt that we were being juggled, and not a priority. Brian returned all of our calls and emails within the hour. Very impressive!"
"Brian was referred to us by a friend. We let him know that we were looking for a large home (3500sqft+) and a small price tag. Brian asked us some questions about our wants & needs. He quickly had the subdivisions narrowed down for us based on the information that we gave. We went to 3 builders, and the last one had a home that we loved, in the price range that we were looking for. Brian even helped us negotiate a better interest rate from the lender. He was very knowledgeable about the builders, communities and area in general."
"Thanks Brian"
