Maricopa Real estate- Basements,Tri-level and 5 car garages

There were an estimated 25 builders in Maricopa during the "boom". Each builder probably had 7-10 different floorplans or models.

There are a few floorplans that have great curb appeal and really caught my eye after viewing so many models and spec homes!

I think some Maricopa folks know that there are a limited number of basement homes in Cobblestone. It is only an estimate, but I would say 20-25 basement homes. The only builder that was in Cobblestone was Fulton Homes. The most common of the basement homes is just over 4000 sqft. 4019 sqft to be exact. Generally on the basement level is a kitchenette and 3 bedrooms plus a living area.

Fulton did build basement homes that were a bit smaller in Cobblestone. Some are 2700-3200sqft

Back during the boom, some of the builders were building larger, more opulent homes. A limited amount were sold, but the builders that continued to build liquidated the large homes, built new smaller models, and many of those smaller homes are still being built.

The largest in Maricopa was built in Cobblestone by Fulton. It is 4662 sqft! See pic below

The 2nd largest model that was built in the HOA controlled part of Maricopa was a monstrous 4547sqft DRHorton. I don't think they built more than a few before discontinuing. Here is a pic of the "monster"

1 floorplan I really liked was the DRHorton 4200sqft model. Maybe 10 were built. The homes were loaded with bells and whistles.

The entrance with the semi circular staircase is what really caught my eye. Whenever I see the staircase, I think about the interior of the Ewing home in Dallas!

To the other extreme.... The smallest homes that was built in Maricopa were in Acacia Crossing (behind Basha's) and Rancho El Dorado. These two models are 2 bed/2bath 980sqft

Here is a unique one... Ever know of a 5 car garage in Maricopa? Here is one. It features 4 side by side, with one as a tandem! WOW! 5 Car?

Did you know there are a few tri-level homes in Maricopa? Hacienda (the 2x6 builder) has a few floorplans that have 3 levels. There are some in Rancho, the Villages and Alterra.

I forgot about this unique one. Builder was Shea homes, in Tortosa. It is a 2 story, but the only thing upstairs is a loft/game room and a storage area. I daydream about making the top floor a man cave. The builder did offer an optional kitchenette in the man cave/loft area! The home is 2400+sqft!
